WHEREA S, it appears to the C ity C ounc il of the C ity of
Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described has
heretofore been zoned as R-1 and possibly CO-1 by the City of
Canton, Illinois; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to the said City Council that
a public hearing was held by the Planning and Zoning Commission
of the City of Canton wherein evidence was heard on behalf of
proponents and objectors and that said Planning and Zoning Commission
has unanimously recommended that said property be zoned R-4 with
certain contingencies, that is that said property be annexed to the
C ity of C anton, Illinois, and �urther that a site plan showing the
proposed construction be submitted to said Planning and Zoning
C ommission for examination and approval prior to annexation and
it further appearing to said City Council that it is necessary for the
developer to have zoning action by this Council in order that he may
continue his development plans.

THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
Part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2 5, Township
7 North, Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian,
more particularly described as follows: Commencing
at the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of
said Section 25; thence North 0•G5'45" West along the
�rVest line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 2 5, a
distance of 990. 4 feet; thence North 89• 21�22" East,

. a' distance of 439. 70 feet to the point of beginning of
the tract to be described; thence North 0°04'10" West
along the East Line of a 50 foot wide dedicated road,
a distance of 391. 51 feet to the North R. O. W. Line
of Myrtle Street; thence South 89•01'30" West along
the North R. O. W. Line of Myrtle Street, a distance
of 50. 01 feet; thence in a Northeasterly direction along
a curve to the left having a radius of 319. 58 feet for an
arc distance of 184. 70 feet; thence North 55°54'38"
East, a distance of 696. 91 feet, thence in a Northeasterly
direction along a curve to the right having a radius of
374. 73 feet for an arc distance of 224. 99 feet to the
East line of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of
said Section 25, thence South 0•18'39" West along the
East line of the West Half of the Northwest �uarter of
said Section 25, a distance of 890. 34 feet; thence
South 89•21'22" West �. distance of 907. 65 feet to the
point of beginning cr�-:�t^ining 13. 828 acres, �:t�aate,
lying and being in t1�e C ounty of Fulton and S�cate of Illinois,
be, and the same is hereby zoned R-4 subject to annexation of said
property by the City of Canton.
Section 2. Construction pursuant to R-4 zoning shall not be
commenced until approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission
of an approved site plan for said proposed construction and report
to this Council.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and
after a majority vote of the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois
and approval by the Mayor.
PASSED by a majority aye and noe vote of the City Council
