ORDINANCE 1V0. -3�' �l
AN �RDINANCE RE�ULATIN� TRAFFIC ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF
SOUTH AVENUE D. , LIBERTY PLACE AND AT THE IlVT�RSECTION OF SOUTH
SEVENTH AVENUE AND �� pINE STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS :
SECTION l. That stop signs (in lieu of the present "Yield"
signs) shall be poste,si�S�t the 'Southeast an�d Northwest corners of
� the intersection of I�est Pine Street and South Seventh Avenue in
the City of Cant "n'���llinois and, whenever a d.river of a vehicle
shall approach �w`�LPine Street while travelling either North or
South on South Seventh Avenue, he shall bring his vehicle to a
complete stop and then proceed with caution when a safe interval
occurs.
SECTION 2. That no motor vehicle sha11 be parked (as
defined by the Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois) on
either side of South Avenue D between the South curb line of
West Walnut Street and the North curb line (as extended) of
Mulberry Place.
SECTION 3. That no motor vehicle shall be parked (as
defined by the Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois) on
the South side of Liberty Place between the East curb line of
North Second Avenue and the West curb line of North Fourth Avenue.
SECTION 4. T�at the prope.r officials of this City post
appropriate signs informing persons of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5. That any person found guilty of a violation
of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than
Five Dollars (�5.00) nor more than �ao Hun d.red Dollars (�200.00).
SECTION 6. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten
days after its passage by the City Council, approval by the Mayor
and publication according to law.
