(AN ORDINANCE RE�ULATING PARKING ON CERTAIlV PORTIONS OF������MAPLE
� STREET AND.._ FIRST AVENUE IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS AND
ESTABLISHIN� STO SIGNS AT THE IlVTERSECTIDN ON SOUTH AVIIVUE A
AND BEECH STREET IN SAID CITY.)
SECTION 1. That no motor vehicle shall be parked (as defined
by the Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois) on the West side
of North First Avenue in the City of Canton, Illinois between the
South curb line of East Spruce Street to the North curb line of
��N� Locust Street.
SECTION 2. That no motor vehicle shall be parked (as defined
by the Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois) for more than two
consecutive hours in any one day on the South side of East Maple
Street in the City of Canton, Illinoi� between the West curb line of
South Seventh Avenue and the East curb line of South Fifth Avenue.
SECTIQN 3. That stop signs shall be placed at the �outheast
and the northwest corners of the intersect ion of South Avenue A and
Beech Street in t he City of Canton, Illinois and all drivers of
motor vehicles approaching Beech Street from either direction on
Avenue A shall bring their said vehicles to a complete stop before
entering on and upon said Beech Street, and then only when a safe
interval occurs in the traffic on said Beech Street.
SECTION 4. That the proper off icials of this City shall
post appropriate signs (where applicable) informing persons of this
Ordinance.
SECTION 5. That any person violating an�y of the provisions
of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not less than
$5.00 nor more than �200.00.
SECTION 6. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten days
after its passage by the Council, approval by the Mayor and publication
according to law.
PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this
