�, AN ORDINANCE
Annexing Property of Orville E.
Jackson and Others to the City
of Canton, Illinois
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is not within
the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the City
of Canton, Illinois, and
It further appearing to the said City Council that this property
is located in an agricultural area and has been utilized fc� many years as
and for agricultural uses and should be annexed �.s Zone AG-1 and partially
as Zone R-1, and
It further appearing to the said City Council that the premises
herein described are owned by Orville E. Jackson, Mary Jackson, Ray E.
Jackson and Margaret A. Jackson, and that six electors reside in said
territory and that all electors and all owners of record of said land within
said territory have joined in the petition to annex saici property to the City as
shown by the records of this Council.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section l. That the territory described as follows:
A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 33, Township 7 North,
Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 16 in Jacksonts Subdivision
and running thence in a Northeasterly direction along the South line
of said Subdivision 400 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 12 in said
Subdivision, thence South along the West line, extended Southerly,

of said Lot 12 a distance of 496. ? feet, thence Southwesterly on a
line parallel to the South line of said Subdivision 400 feet and thence
North along the Southerly extension of the West line of Lot 16 in said
Subdivision to the place of beginning. ALSO, an easement over the

' Section 2. That this property shall be annexed zoned as follows:

� Section 3. That a certified copy of this Ordinance together with
� an accurate map of the territory above described s}lall be recorded with the
Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County, Illinois.
