ORDINANCE N0. S j �
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is not within the cor-
porate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the City of Canton,
Illinois; and
WHEREAS, it further appears to the said City Council that no
electors reside in said territory hereinafter described, and the owner of
record of all the land within said territory has requested that it be an-
nexed to said city, as shown by the records of this Council ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1 . That the territory described as follows:
TRACT 1 . Lot 8 of Sebree Subdivision, being part of the South-
east Quarter of Section 25 in Township 7 North, Range 4 East
of the Fourth Principal Meridian, as shown by plat recorded
March 12, 1968, in Plat Book 5, Page 19, as Document No.
68-8923, County of Fulton, State of Illinois.
TRACT 2. A part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25, Town-
ship 7 North, Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of
Lot 5, Sebree Subdivision, as shown by plat recorded March
12, 1968, in Plat Book 5, at Page 19, as Document No. 68-
8923, running thence East along the South line of Lots 5,
6, and 7 of Sebree Subdivision a distance of 300 feet to
the Southeast corner of said Lot 7, thence running North
624.5 fe�t, thence West 300 feet, thence South 624.5 feet
to the place of beginning, containing about 4.3 acres, all
in the County of Fulton, State of Illinois,
BE AND IT IS HEREBY ANNEXED to the City of Canton, Illinois.
SECTION 2. That a certified copy of this ordinance, together with an
accurate map of the territory above described, shall be re-
corded with the Recorder of Deeds, Fulton County, Illinois.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in effect from and after a
two-thirds "aye" and "no" vote of the City Council of the
City of Canton, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor.
