ORDINANCE I�TO, � ,.?.S-'
W h e r e a s , it appears to the C ity Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, that the territory herein described is not now within the
corporate limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the City of
C anton; and,
W h e r e a s , it appears further to the City Council that all
electors residing on said premises and the owners of same have requested
that said territory be annexed to the City of Canton, as shown by the records
of th�s Counci.l.
Now , Therefore , Be It Ordained by the City Council
of the C ity of C anton, Illinois:
Section 1: That the premises described as follows:
The Northeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 7 North,
Range 4 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, Fulton
County, Illinois,

E x c e p t 21. 75 acres lying North of the road in the
Northeast corner of said quarter section;
A 1 s o e x c e p t beginning at a point 1046 feet South
of the Northeast corner of said Section 28, running
thence South 170 feet, thence West 175 feet, thence
North about 360 feet to public highway, thence along
� public highway in a Southeasterly direction to the East
line of said Section 28, thence South about 128 feet to
the place of beginning;
A 1 s o e x c e p t beginning at the Southwest corner of
� said Northeast Quarter, running thence East along the _
South line of said Northeast Quarter 600 feet, thence
North 435. 6 feet, thence West 336. 7 feet, thence North
331 feet, thence West 263. 3 feet to the VVest line of said
; Northeast Quarter, thence South 766. 6 feet to the place
of beginning, about 130 acres in all,

The Canton Planning Commission has heretofore conducted
public hearings relative to the annexation of the above-des-
cribed territory. Subject to the foregoing, for zoning purposes
the above territory Be and the same Is Hereb� Classified as
R-1.
Section 3: A certified copy of tf�ns ordinance, together with an accurate
map of the territory above described, shall be recorded with
the Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County, Illinois.
