A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE BASE PAY
RATE FOR.FIRE CHIEF JOHN L. STANKO.
WHEREAS, on June, 1997 Resolution No. 3383 was adopted by the City Council
of the City of Canton providing.for an increase in basic compensation for the last 35 days
of active employment by the City for retired police chief and fire chief; and,
WHEREAS,.it is the desire of the City Council to make a similar provision for the
incumbent fire chief;
NOW,..THEREFORE,..BE. IT RES.OLYED. BY_THE. CITY CQUNCIh. OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton_City Council finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That the base pay of Fire Chief John L. Stanko is hereby raised by the sum of
$7,500.00 per 30 days for the last 35 days.of his active employment by the City of Canton.
3. That the pay raise in the preceding paragraph is exclusive of all other pay raises
such as annual. percentage_raises.
4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, I1linoisT at a
regular meeting this 20thday of April , 1999 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Shores, May, Nidiffer, Sarff, Phillips, Nblleck,
Hartford.
NAYS: None,
ABSENT: Alderman Meade.
