Purchase of laser level for ditch work. Bill Terry has been researching the cost of a laser level for ditch work that would help with the drainage issues. Bill received a quote for an AGL dual grade laser level at a cost of $ 1,550.00. Motion and second were made by Aldermen Justin Nelson/West to approve the purchase of the laser level for ditch work. The original cost proposal was for the removal of two hives. The invoice will reflect an additional cost due to the third hive being removed. Motion and second were made by Aldermen Pickel/Justin Nelson to excuse Alderman Jim Nelson from the voting due to his involvement with the fundraiser. NEGOTIATIONS, GRIEVANCE & PERSONNEL ALDERMAN JEREMY PASLEY, CHAIRMAN 5 COMMUNICATIONS FROM MAYOR FRITZ: The MidAmerican National Bank annual fundraiser resulted in $3,165.00 being raised this year for the fireworks. This was the largest amount raised during the last 15 years. The 22"d annual Cruise In and Bike Show took place this past weekend. The event was very successful. Gabby Days - Will be held June 22 and June 23, 2013. Residents can place items on the terrace for pickup. The following items will not be picked up: Appliances, electronics, televisions, computers, batteries, yard waste or excessive construction material. OLD BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS An ordinance amending Title 6 Section 6-1-1- (Department Established) of the Canton Municipal Code. (lst reading) An ordinance amending Title 5 Section 5-1-1 (Department Established) of the Canton Municipal Code. (1St reading) A resolution ascertaining the prevailing rate of wages for laborers, mechanics and other workmen employed in any public works by The City of Canton. #4029 Motion and second were made by Aldermen Justin Nelson/Pickel to approve the resolution and place it on file.
