A RESOLUTION CONCERNING EMPLOYMENT TERMINATION BENEFITS
WHEREAS, on May 1, 2001 in the first meeting of the newly constituted city council, there was
no reappointment of Susan B. Henseler, Secretary to the mayor and city attorney and the position of
administrative assistant to the mayor was eliminated; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Canton has agreed and by this Resolution further agrees to resolve
compensation issues with Mrs. Henseler and James W. Snider as former Administrative Assistant to the
Mayor; and,
WHEREAS, Susan B. Henseler is to be paid all vacation, sick and personal days accrued through
May 8, 2001 at her regular rate; and,
WHEREAS, James W. Snider is to be paid his salary rate plus continuing his insurance coverage
for a period of 3 months as of May 1, 2001 to August 1, 2001. He shall also be paid any vacation, personal
and sick days accrued through May 1, 2001. He shall accrue no vacation, personal or sick days after May
1, 2001; and,
WHEREAS, these payments are agreeable to Mrs. Henseler and Mr. Snider and they agree to
forbear any legal action in consideration thereof; and,
WHEREAS, said compensation shall be made available immediately and shall further show then
assent.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the agreement as set out above is adopted by the
City Council of the City of Canton and the payments set forth shall be made by the appropriate officials.
That this Resolution shalt be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular meeting
this 1~ day of May, 2001, upon a roll call vote as follows:
