DATED AT CANTON, ILLINOIS, THIS 18th DAY OF August, 2026 Seal ndi Smith-Walters, City Clerk ity of Canton, Illinois ORDINANCE NO. 4573 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1)2027 FORD F350, AND RELATED OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES, AND WAIVING ANY FURTHER COMPETITIVE BIDDING REQUIREMENTS RELATED TO SAME WHEREAS,the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois ("City"), is a non-home rule unit of government; WHEREAS,the City is in need of a new truck to be used for public purposes,particularly in the City's fire department; WHEREAS,the City has obtained a quote from Sutton Ford Inc. in Matteson, Illinois; WHEREAS, Sutton Ford Inc. competitively bid the Truck(as defined below)through the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (Contract#225), a joint purchasing program; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton has determined that it is necessary and in the best interests of the City to purchase one (1) new Ford F350 and other options/accessories (collectively,the"Truck")for the City of Canton,as described in"Exhibit A," from Sutton Ford and to waive any further competitive bidding requirements, if applicable. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City of Canton hereby finds as fact the recitals set forth above and are incorporated herein as though fully set forth; 2. The quote for the purchase of the Truck for $59,890.00, as described in "Exhibit A," plus necessary taxes, titles, and fees, is hereby APPROVED and, to the extent applicable or required, all further competitive bidding requirements are hereby WAIVED. 3. The Mayor, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute and deliver any and all purchase agreements,purchase orders,or other documents necessary to purchase the Truck as described in"Exhibit A". 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton and approval by the Mayor thereof.
