passed and approved Ordinance #4566 entitled:

CANTON, ILLINOIS, CURRENTLY ZONED R-2.

City Council.

ORDINANCE NO. 4566
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW FOR A
GROUND MOUNT SOLAR INSTALLATION AT 1950 NORTH MAIN ST,
CANTON, ILLINOIS, CURRENTLY ZONED R-2.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois,that the territory herein described is located within the corporate limits of
the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS,a petition was filed by, Jasen Friedrich, owner of the property to the
Joint Planning and Zoning Commission of said City requesting a Special Use; and,
WHEREAS,no objectors appeared at said hearing and said commission did
thereupon make favorable Findings of Fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that a Special Use Permit be allowed for A GROUND MOUNT SOLAR
INSTALL at 1950 North Main St, Canton,Illinois 61520.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois hereby
finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a Special Use Permit to allow for GROUND MOUNT SOLAR INSTALL
at 1950 North Main St. zoned R-2 in Canton, Illinois,affecting real property being
legally described as follows:
Common Address: 4.79 AC SEC 15 TWP 7 RNG 4 COMM SW COR N 112 SE TH S 20 TO
POS TH E 539.05 NLY 236 W 606 S 216 E 75 S 20 TO POB EX.11 AC

3. That the City Council of the City of Canton, County of Fulton,Illinois, hereby
finds the facts of the aforegoing recitals to be fact.
4. That a Special Use Permit be granted to Jasen Friedrich. Canton, Illinois 61520
as described herein shall be, and the same is hereby issued to Jasen Friedrich,
owner of property.
5. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriated documents, maps and
related regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the foregoing
special use permit granted herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton,Fulton County,Illinois, at a regular meeting
this 13 day of July,2026 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Alderpersons Chamberlin, Lovell, Hale, Pickel, Ketcham, Gossett
