PAINTER AT THE ADDRESS OF 1030 WEST HICKORY STREET, CANTON, ILLINOIS AS R-2 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois that the territory hereinafter legally described is not located within the corporate limits of said city, and, WHEREAS, it appears that the owners of said real estate, William J. Painter and Carole J. Painter have petitioned that the same be annexed to the City of Canton and be zoned R-2, single family residential, in accordance with the City Code of said city, said territory currently being zoned R-1 under the Fulton County zoning ordinance, and, IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that a public hearing was conducted by the Planning and Zoning Commission of said City of Canton on February 14, 2000 and that said commission unanimously recommended to the City Council that said property be annexed to the City of Canton and be rezoned to R-2, single family residential, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Canton as follows. 1. That territory described as follows: PARTS OF LOTS NUMBERED 8 & 9 IN JACKSON'S SUBDIVISION BEING A PART OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTIONS 33, IN TOWNSHIP 7 NORTH, RANGE 4, EAST OF THE FOURTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF FULTON & STATE OF ILLINOIS; SUBJECT TO DEDICATION FOR HIGHWAY PURPOSES, SITUATED IN THE CITY OF CANTON, COUNTY OF FULTON AND STATE OF ILLINOIS, Being owned by William C. & Carole J. Painter be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Canton and the same is hereby rezoned from an R-1 County zoning configuration to an R-2 City of Canton, Single Family Residential zoning configuration, in accordance with the applicable rules, laws, and regulations of the Illinois Municipal Code. 2. That the zoning administrator is directed to make the appropriate changes to the zoning maps of the City of Canton to show this annexation and zoning. 3. That the City Clerk is directed to record with the Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County and to file with the County Clerk of Fulton County a certified copy of this ordinance. 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton and approval by its Mayor. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting this lst day of August 2000, upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aldermen rlolleck, Hartford, Sarff , Phillips , Nidiffer, Shores , May .
