ORDINANCE NO. 1661
AN ORDINANCE REMOVING THE STOP SIGN FOR NORTH BOUND
TRAFFIC AT THE WEST ENTRANCE TO THE FORMER FULTON SQUARE
PARKING LOT
WHEREAS, the Streets and Garbage Committee of the Canton City Council has
determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
eliminate the stop sign for North bound traffic at the west entrance to the former Fulton
Square Parking lot; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the City Council hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That the stop sign for North bound traffic at the West entrance to the former
Fulton Square parking lot is hereby eliminated.
3. That all ordinances, or portions of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby rescinded and repealed.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days after its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by
the Mayor thereof, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
5. That the Street Superintendent shall cause the appropriate stop sign to be
removed.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this 20t1}.iay of June , 2000, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Alldeztnen MaY~ Shores, Meade, Nidiffer, Phillips, Sarff,
Hartford.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alclenna~i Molleck.
