Ordinance rezoning property of Kenneth and Patricia Billington
at the address of 431 E. Locust St. in the city of Canton I1.61520,
Fulton County, from R-1 to B-2.
Whereas, a petition was filed wiyh the City Clerk for the
rezoning of the real property described below, and said property i s
within the corporate limits of the City of Canton, Illinois.
Whereas, the current zoning of the subject premises is R-1 and it
is the intention of the owners that it be changed to a zoning of B-2;
Whereas, a public hearing on said petition was conducted by the
Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton on May 10,
2000 pursuant to proper notice having been published in the Canton
Daily Ledger;
Whereas, on May 10, 2000 the Planning and Zoning
Commission recommended to the City Council that the real property
described in the attached exhibit hereto be rezoned in the City of
Canton pursuant to Division 13, Article 11, Act 5, Chapter 65,
Illinois Compiled Statutes, 1992 (65 ILCS 5/1.1-13-1 et seq);
Whereas, it is in the best interest of the City of Canton, Illlinois
that said real property be rezoned in the City of Canton.
Now, Therefore, Be It Ordained By TheCity Council Of The
City Of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton City Counsel hereby finds as facts the

2. That the described real property be and is hereby rezoned as
follows: Lot Three (3) Kellogg & Babcock Addition.
3. That the Zoning Administrator is directed to make the
appropriate changes to the zoning maps of the City of Canton to
show this rezoning.
4. That Kenneth and Patricia Billington is directed to record
with the Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County and to file with the
County Clerk of Fulton County a certified copy of this ordinance.
5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage by the City Council of thr City of Canton and approval by its
Mayor.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this loth day of Jame ,2000
upon a roll call votes as follows:
