HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1709'. ., ORDINANCE NO. 1709 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT FOR RtGHARD AND ROBERTA NELSON AT THE ADDRESS OF 855 EAST ELM STREET, CANTON, ILLINOIS, FOR AN ELECTRONIC SERVICE SHOP. WHERES, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits at 855 East Elm Street, and; WHEREAS, a petition for a Home Occupation Permit was filed by petitioner and noticed thereof was published wi#hin said City and Courrty, all in accordance with the Statutes of the State of Illinois and the Ordinances of the City of Canton, and; WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning such petition was held before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois on GetB ~ 01 pursuant to notice, and; WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said Commission did thereupon recommend to the Canton City Council that said Home Occupation Permit be issued far the operation of an Electronic Service Shop by Richard and Roberta Nelson at 855 East Elm Street, Canton, Illinois. NOW THEREFORE, 8E 1T ORDAINED BY THE GTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the Gty Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact. 2. That a Nome Occupation Permit for the operation of an Electronic Service Shop issued to, and the same hereby is issued to Richard and Roberta Nelson at 855 fast Elm Street, Canton, Qiinois affecting real property described as follows, to-wit: Commencing at a point 90 fees from the Southeast corner of Lot Number 9 in NIPPLE'S ADDITION to Canton, Illinois, on the North line of Elm Street, thence running East 42 fee#, thence North 137 feet, thence West 42 feet, thence South 137 feet to the place of beginning, also described as follows; Commencing 48 rods West of the East line of said quarter section on the road leading from Canton to Utica (East Chestnut Street), thence South 274 feet to the paint of beginning, thence West 42 feet, thence South 137 feet to the North line of East Elm Street, at a point 90 feet East of the Southeast corner of Lot 9 NIPPLE'S ADDITION to Canton, Illinois, thence East 42 feet, thence North 137 feet to the place of beginning. 3. That this Home Occupation is personal to Richard and Roberta Nelson at the above stated address only for a term of two years fr©m the date hereofi any cessation of such use shall automatically terminate said Home Occupation Permit; such Hame Occupation Permit is not transferrable or valid at any ether address or affecting any other property. ,~ .. ~., 4. That the records of the City of Canton, appropriate documents, maps, and related regulations be, and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the foregang Home Dccupatian Permit. 5. PASSED by the City Council of the Ciry of Canton, Fuhon County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 6th day of November ~ ~ ~ t upon a roll call vote as follows; AYES.
