AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE /HOME OCCUPATION
PERMIT TO STACI BAKER TO ALLOW FOR A ONE-ON-ONE NAIL SALON
IN HER ATTACHED GARAGE.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, that the territory herein described is located within the corporate limits of
the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by Staci Baker, owner of the property to the Joint
Planning and Zoning Commission of said City requesting a Special Use/Home
Occupation Permit; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said commission did
thereupon make favorable Findings of Fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that a Special Use/Home Occupation Permit be allowed TO HOUSE A
NAIL SALON IN ATTACHED GARAGE AT 235 N. 4TH AVE, CANTON,
IL.61520
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON,FULTON COUNTY,ILLINOIS,AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,Illinois hereby
finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a Special Use Permit to allow for A NAIL SALON at 235 N. 4TH Ave
zoned R-2 in Canton,Illinois, affecting real property being legally described as
follows:
SECT: 26 TWP: 07 RANGE: 04 224.75 x 72.75 ON SEC LN N 4t'BEG 447.75 S OF EASH
PT SW,City of Canton, situated in Fulton County, State of Illinois.
Common Address: 235 N. 4TH Ave, Canton, IL. 61520
Property ID: 09-08-26-301-019
3. That the City Council of the City of Canton, County of Fulton, Illinois, hereby
finds the facts of the aforegoing recitals to be fact.
4. That a Special Use Permit be granted for Staci Baker of235 N. 4th, Canton,
Illinois 61520 as described herein shall be, and the same is hereby issued to Staci
Baker, owner of the property.
5. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriated documents, maps and
related regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the foregoing
special use permit granted herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular meeting
this 160- day of December_ 2025 upon a roll call vote as follows:
