An Ordinance granting a Special Use Permit for the operation of a daycare
center at 526 North Main Street, Canton, IL.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of
the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, a Petition was filed by )erry D. Jarnagin and Lillian C. Jarnagin, not
individually, but as Co-Trustees of the Jarnagin Land Trust, dated October 2, 2005,
requesting a Special Use Permit for the use of the property hereinafter described as a
daycare facility/Headstart school; and
WHEREAS, Notice of a Petition for a Special Use Permit in a B-2 Zoning
Configuration was published in the Canton Daily Ledger, a newspaper of regular
circulation in the City of Canton, County of Fulton and State of Illinois, all in accordance
with the Statutes of the State of Illinois and the Ordinances of the City of Canton so
made and provided; and
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said Planning & Zoning
Commission did thereupon make favorable finds of fact and did recommend to the City
Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, that said Special Use Permit be issued for the use
of the property hereinafter described as a daycare facility/Headstart school.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, hereby
finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a Special Use Permit for the use of the property at 526 North Main
St., Canton, IL 61520 and described herein on the attached Exhibit A, shall be and the
same is hereby issued to ]erry D. Jarnagin and Lillian C. Jarnagin, not individually, but
as Co-Trustees of the Jarnagin Land Trust, dated October 2, 2005.
3. That the appropriate maps, plats and related documents of the City of
Canton shall be and the same are hereby amended to reflect the foregoing Special Use
Permit granted herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting of said City Council this _4th day of October, 2011, upon a roll call vote
of 7 AYES and 0 NAYS, with 1 Aldermen absent.

52 feet and 6 inches off the South side of the East 128 feet of Lot Five (5)
in Block Four (4) in Joseph Zwisler's Addition to the City of Canton,
situated in the County of Fulton in the State of Illinois.
