municipality passed and approved Ordinance #4458 entitled:

ORDINANCE NO. 4458
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE /HOME OCCUPATION
PERMIT TO ALLOW FOR A BEAUTY SALON IN A DETATCHED GARAGE.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, that the territory herein described is located within the corporate limits of
the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by, Joseph Riley and Ashley McCoy, owner of
the property to the Joint Planning and Zoning Commission of said City requesting
a Special Use/Home Occupation Permit; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said commission did
thereupon make favorable Findings of Fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that a Special Use Permit be allowed TO HOUSE A BEAUTY SALON
IN DETACHED GARAGE AT 686 N. 7TH, CANTON, IL.61520
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois hereby
finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a Special Use Permit to allow for A BEAUTY SALON at 686 N. 7TH Ave
zoned R-2 in Canton, Illinois; affecting real property being legally described as
follows:
SECT/LOT: 23 LAWNDALE ADDITION, City of Canton, situated in Fulton
County, State of Illinois.
Common Address: 686 N.7TH Ave, Canton, IL. 61520
Property ID: 09-08-26-116-002
3. That the City Council of the City of Canton, County of Fulton, Illinois, hereby
finds the facts of the aforegoing recitals to be fact.
4. That a Special Use Permit be granted for Joseph Riley and Ashley McCoy of
686 N. 7t", Canton, Illinois 61520 as described herein shall be, and the same is
hereby issued to Joseph Riley, owner of property.
5. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriated documents, maps and
related regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the foregoing
special use permit granted herein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton,Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular meeting
this 15th day of April_2025 upon a roll call vote as follows:
