An Ordinance re-zoning certain properry of Kumer
Construction, Inc., in an R-2 zoning configuration.
WHEREAS, the property described on Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof ("Kumer Property"), is located within the corporate limits of the City
of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Kumer Properry is currently zoned AG-1, Agricultural, under the
Canton City Code; and
WHEREAS, Kumer Construction, Inc., is the owner of the Kumer Property and
has petitioned the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois that the property be re-
zoned to an R-2 zoning configuration in order to accommodate the construction of a
single family residential dwelling and to double the existing lot sizes of adjoining
property known as Golf View Villas, Section One; and
WHEREAS, the property immediately North of the Kumer Property consists of
single family residential uses and the re-zoning of the Kumer Property would be
consistent with those uses; and
WHEREAS, on December 13, 2010, the Planning & Zoning Commission of the
City of Canton met, pursuant to notice as required by law, and held a public hearing
concerning the Petitioner's request to re-zone the Kumer Properry to an R-2 zoning
configuration and at said meeting, there were no objectors present and the Planning &

Zoning Commission unanimously recommended to the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, the re-zoning of the Kumer Property to an R-2 zoning configuration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CI?Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION:
1. That the property described on Exhibit A and known as the Kumer
Properry shall be and the same is hereby re-zoned to an R-2 zoning configuration.
2. That a copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the appropriate
authorities of the County of Fulton and State of Illinois, to reflect the re-zoning of the
Kumer Property, all as made and provided for by law.
3. That the corporate authorities of the City of Canton, Illinois, and their
respective officers and agents shall be and they are hereby authorized to amend the
zoning maps of the City of Canton, Illinois, to so reflect the re-zoning of the Kumer
Properry to an R-2 zoning configuration.
4. That the Mayor of the City of Canton, Illinois, shall be and he is hereby
authorized to affix his signature as the Mayor of said City to this Ordinance and the City
Clerk of the City of Canton, Illinois, shall be and she is hereby authorized to attest such
signature thereto.

EXHIBIT A
A part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 15, Township 7 North, Range 4
East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, Fulton County, Illinois, more
particularly described as foltows:
Beginning at a concrete marker at the southeast corner of Lot 1 in Golf
View Villas - Section One Subdivision, recorded as Document No. 0818730
in Slide 405, Fulton County Recorder's Office; thence along the west line
of North Fourth Avenue bearing South 00 degrees 40 minutes 01 seconds
West, 113.46 feet (Bearings refer to the Illinois Coordinate System, West
Zone, NAD 1983) to an iron rod; thence South 89 degrees 19 minutes 05
seconds West, 942.53 feet to an iron rod; thence North 00 degrees 40
minutes 55 seconds West, 100.00 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 12
in said Golf View Villas - Section One Subdivision; thence North 89
degrees 19 minutes 05 seconds East, 669.53 feet along the south line of
said Golf View Villas - Section One Subdivision; thence North 72 degrees
46 minutes 18 seconds East, 47.16 feet continuing along said south line;
thence North 89 degrees 19 minutes 05 seconds East, 230.46 feet
continuing along said south line to the Point of Beginning, containing
2.244 acres more or less.
