ORDINANCE NO. 4456
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A
2024 FORD F-350 FROM MORROW BROTHERS FORD,INC.
WHEREAS,the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois ("City"), is a non-home rule unit
of government;
WHEREAS,the City is in need of a new truck,to be used for public purposes,particularly
in the City's public works;
WHEREAS, the City has obtained a quote from Morrow Brothers Ford, Inc., who
competitively bid the truck through the State of Illinois;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton has determined that it is necessary
and in the best interests of the City to purchase one (1) new 2024 Ford F-350 and other
options/accessories ("Truck") for the City of Canton, as described in"Exhibit A," from Morrow
Brothers Ford, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City of Canton hereby finds as fact the recitals set forth above and are incorporated
herein as though fully set forth;
2. The bid for the purchase of the Truck for $80,877.00, as described in "Exhibit A," plus
necessary taxes,titles, and fees, is hereby APPROVED;
3. The Mayor, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute and deliver any and all
purchase agreements, purchase orders, or other documents necessary to purchase one (1)
Truck as described in"Exhibit A";
4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effective immediately upon its passage by the City
Council of the City of Canton and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 1st day of April, 2025.
