AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING "NO PARKING" BEGINNING AT THE
INTERSECTION OF NORTH MAIN STREET AND LINCOLN ROAD
EXTENDING 500 FEET TO THE EAST ON THE NORTH SIDE OF LINCOLN
ROAD IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton City Council has
determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
designate a "No Parking" azea beginning at the intersection of North Main and Lincoln
Road and extending a distance of 500 feet to the East on the North side of Lincoln Road
in the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. The forgoing recitals of fact are correct.
2. That a "No Pazking" area beginning at the intersection of North Main and
Lincoln Road and extending a distance of 500 feet to the East on the North
side of Lincoln Road in the City of Canton.
3. That any persons violating the ordinance shall be fined in accordance with
Section 9-11-1 violations and penalties of the Canton Municipal Code.
4. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by
the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regulaz meeting this 21st day of October , 2003, upon a roll call vote as
follows:
AYES: Aldermen Hartford,
ham, Reed.
NAYS: None .
