Bicycle Patrol Proposal
Chief Dan Taylor explained the patrol would help the community by patrolling special events in the
downtown area.
Motion and second was made by Aldermen Hartford/Picket to accept the bicycle patrol proposal
in the amount of $5,188.06

US Cellular Proposal
City Administrator Jim Snider stated a cost effective plan was negotiated that will save the City
$443.69/month. A $3,000.00 discount is received with the purchase of the repeater.

West Walnut Parking Permit Request
Chief Taylor stated that he researched the parking problem and visited with a resident in the area.
Chief Taylor recommends making this residential parking only from 350 feet East of Martin Avenue.
Motion and second was made by Aldermen Hartford/Rivero to draft an ordinance for residential
parking only from 350 feet East of Martin Avenue.

Motion and second was made by Alderman Ellis/Pickel to excuse Alderman Ellis from discussion.
The motion carried by voice vote and was unanimous.
Mayor Meade suggested having new bids submitted due to the original bids coming in higher than
anticipated. All previous bids will be rejected.
Motion and second was made by Aldermen Hartford/Rlvero to receive new bids for the generator wall

Trac Equipment Request- Industrial Park
City Administrator Jim Snider explained that the Council could consider using funds for improvements
and paving the parking lot. Jim recommended sending this to the Community and Industrial Committee
next week.
Motion and second was made by Alderman Ellis /Pickel to have the Council affirm that Trac Equipment
has met at least one, if not all three stipulations in the agreement prepared two years ago. The
discussion of the parking lot will be sent to the Committee meeting next week.
Alderman Schenck expressed concerns about if the stipulations in the agreement were met. Mayor
Meade reported that the contract states they must meet at least one of the three stipulations.

Keith Plavec explained that Laverdiere Construction bid $14,420.00 and was the low bidder. This would
be paid from the water sewer fund.

COMMUNICATIONS FROM MAYOR KEVIN R MEADE
Bright Spot Award- Mary Alice Broughan at 312 South Main Street.
Infomercial will be aired in the near future by channel 31. This is a 1/z hour infomercial about
Canton.

The fire department and inspector reviewed the drawings and they both approved the plans. A
Meeting is scheduled later this week with Sam Puleo. A permit will be issued as soon as all work is
complete.

Contact with National Power Rodding Corporation for sewer lateral televising in the Kilroy
Sewershed.
Keith Plavec explained that the company provides equipment to do sewer televising. This would
provide a detailed scope of televising and help save the amount of money the City would otherwise
be paying. The cost would be $280.00/hour with aone- time fee of $2,400.00. The total cost per
week would be $13,600.00 and would be paid from the bond funds.

Power Rodding Corporation.
