(SEAL) , 'A' INDI SMITH-WALTERS CITY CLERK ORDINANCE NO. 4414 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A KOMATSU WHEEL LOADER WHEREAS,the City of Canton,Fulton County, Illinois ("City"), is a non-home rule unit of government; WHEREAS, the City is in need of a wheel loader, to be used for public purposes, particularly in the City's public works; WHEREAS, upon purchase of the new wheel loader, the City's existing 2009 Case 721E Wheel Loader will no longer be necessary or useful to the City; WHEREAS,the City has obtained a competitively bid solicitation through Sourcewell, a cooperative purchasing provider,in relation the purchase of a new wheel loader; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton has determined that it is necessary and in the best interests of the City to purchase of one (1) new wheel loader and other options/accessories ("Wheel Loader") for the City of Canton, as described in "Exhibit A," from Roland Machinery Co. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City of Canton hereby finds as fact the recitals set forth above and are incorporated herein as though fully set forth; 2. The bid for the purchase of the Wheel Loader for $192,900.00, as described in "Exhibit A,"plus necessary taxes,titles, and fees, is hereby APPROVED; 3. The Mayor, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute and deliver any and all purchase agreements, purchase orders, or other documents necessary to purchase one (1) Wheel Loader as described in"Exhibit A"; 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton and approval by the Mayor thereof.
