FEDERAL-AID URBAN ROUTE LIMITS:'-
WHEREAS, the present Federal Highway Act provided for changes in the Federal
Highway System, and,
WHEREAS, a new Federal-Aid Urban highway system was created for cities over
10,000 population and said system in many cases incorporated portions of high-
ways under the Federal-Aid Secondary System, and,
WHEREAS, at the April 8, 1974 meeting of the Fulton County Board and at the
March 26, 1974 meeting of the Canton City Council, resolutions were adopted
approving Urban Limits for the City of Canton, and,
WHEREAS, included within the Urban Limits were portions of Federal-Aid Secondary
highways, and,
WHEREAS, at the May 13, 1974 meeting of the Fulton County Board, a resolution
was adopted removing those Federal-Aid Secondary highways within the Urban
Limits from said Secondary System.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the following described portions of Federal-Aid
Secondary Highways removed from said Secondary System be added to the Federal-
Aid Urban System of the City of Canton.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit
two certified copies of this resolution to Mr. John E. Harland, District
Engineer, Department of Transportation, 6035 N. Mt. Hawley Road, Peoria, Illinois;
and also one certified copy to Mr. Emil E. Sepich, Fulton County Clerk, Courthouse,
Lewistown, Illinois.
