Jim Hartford, Chairman
Under City building renovations, Alderman Hartford stated that he would meet with Jim
Snider and Harlan Banister before a plan was presented. In this same area, Clif O'Brien
was instructed by committee to look into new carpet and painting the City Clerk's Office.
A commercial grade carpet was selected from Crawford's in Canton at a cost of $1,876.99
installed. Before carpeting is installed the room should be painted. The plastering repairs
have been completed. Cost of painting the room would be approximately $850. Motion
by Alderman Phillips, second by Alderman Hartford to advertise for bids for the carpeting
and the painting and open the bids at the February 24th committee meeting. Voice vote,
motion carried. No further business was discussed and the committee adjourned.

Phillips, second by Alderman Hartford to approve this expense. Voice vote, motion
carried.
Steve White reported that the 250 horsepower, high service pump at the water plant is
down. Foremost Electric is working on the motor and Peerless is working on the pump.
Neither company has an estimate at this time on the cost of repairs. Steve White feels it
maybe several thousand dollars but there are no options available. This pump is necessary
and runs approximately 11 hours each day. He expects it to be back on line within two
weeks. Motion by Alderman Phillips, second by Alderman Shores to approve the repairs
to the High Service Pump at the water plant. Voice vote, motion carried. No further
business was discussed in open session and the committee adjourned.
