NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois. as follows: 1. That the MOU between the City and the. -Union, substantially in the form as attached hereto as "Exhibit A;" is hereby approved, and said'MOU=is to be subject to and effective, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth therein. 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk of Canton, Illinois are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver,the MOU on behalf of the City of Canton. 3. Prior to the Mayor and City Clerk executing, the City Attorney is hereby authorized to negotiate and make_ any make any revisions necessary to the MOU to substantially accomplish the foregoing and the purpose of the attached MOU, subject to approval by_the.IViayor. 4. The City and Uniori are parties to a certain'Collective Bargaining Agreement, executed February 20, 2022, and effective May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2024 (the'"Contract! The City intends to hire part-time dispatchers due to the shortage of current full-time dispatchers ("FT Dispatchers') employed by the City. Although part-time dispatchers "PT Dispatchers") are not covered- under the Contract and the City's management rights.,perMit the luring of. said.PT Dispatchers, the City and.
