LINN STREET, CANTON,ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton has determined that it is necessary and in the best interest to conduct a pre-demolition asbestos inspection of the property located at 360 E. Limi Street, Canton, Illinois, as set forth in `Exhibit A," which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the Asbestos Inspection Cost Proposal (the "Agreement") attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as "Exhibit A" is hereby approved by the Canton City Council. 2. That the Mayor, or his designee, and the City Clerk of the City of Canton, Illinois are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement on behalf of the City of Canton. 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof. Dear Mr. Ackerman: Kirwan Environmental Management, Inc. proposes to perform the following scope of work for a fee of 4 500.00. • Conduct a pre-demolition asbestos inspection of the property at 360 E. Linn to include the main building and any exterior structures. Inspection procedures will follow the National Emissions Standards for Hazard Air Pollutants (NESHAP) regulations. Laboratory turn-around-time shall be two weeks. A detailed report shall be submitted to the City of Canton along with recommendations for managing identified Asbestos Containing Material (ACM). Work schedule: TBD. Payment terms: Kirwan Environmental Mgmt. shall receive payment of$4,500.00 within thirty days post completion of the asbestos inspection.
