ORDINANCE NO. 4278
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 1, CHAPTER 13, SECTION 1
(CITY DEPOSITORIES)
OF THE CANTON MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois (the "City") is an Illinois non-
home rule municipal corporation, established in accordance with the constitution of the State of
Illinois of 1970;
WHEREAS, Title 8, Chapter 13, Section 1 of the Canton Municipal Code (the "Code")
contains provisions related to the authorized official depositories of the City;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton has determined that it is necessary
and in the best interest of the City to amend and update Title 1, Chapter 13, Section 1 of the Code
to add and/or remove certain depositories.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City hereby finds as fact the recitals set forth above and incorporates said
recitals herein as though fully set forth.
Section 2. That the following depositories are qualified to receive city funds and money, and
Section 1-13-1 concerning City Depositories, of the Canton Municipal Code is hereby amended to
state as follows:
The following financial institutions are hereby designated as official depositories of the
city in which the treasurer is hereby directed to deposit all monies and funds from all
accounts unless otherwise authorized by the city council:
Wells Fargo,N.A.
TBK Bank
Mid-America National Bank
Ipava State Bank
Bank of Farmington
CEFCU
State of Illinois/Illinois National Bank,N.A.
(Including Illini Funds and other ePay accounts)
Banks, while acting as depositories, shall furnish the corporate authorities of the city with
a copy of all statements of resources and liabilities, which is required to be furnished to
the auditor of public accounts or to the controller of currency, as provided by law.

Section 3. That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 4. If any part or parts of this Ordinance shall be held to be unconstitutional or otherwise
invalid, such unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining
provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval as provided by law.
