A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COST-OF-LIVING ALLOWANCE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has
provided for a cost-of-living allowance to be computed and paid to
its employees from time to time during the Fiscal Year 1980-1981; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has now
computed the cost-of-living allowance to be paid its employees commencing
with the first full pay period in the month of June, 1980.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the cost-of-living allowance to be paid to the employees
of the City of Canton, Illinois shall be .31 (31 cents) per hour for
each hour worked commencing the week of June 2, 1980, and in addition
to any cost-of-living allowance heretofore authorized during the Fiscal
year, 1980-1981 (making a total of .31~ per hour in total cost-of-living
for this fiscal year).
2. That employees thereto entitled shall be paid effective the
1st full pay period in June and shall be paid currently for each pay
period hereafter until computation and re-determination of the cost-of-
living allowance has again been made by the City Council.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval by
the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and
APPROVED by the Mayor thereof this ~/L~ day of June, 1980.
