RESOLUTION N0. ~ ~ 0
The City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois,
met in regular session at the City Hall Council Chambers, at 6:30
o'clock P.M. The following Councilmen were present: Kovachevich, Williams,
Mazza, Selfridge, Carl, Grant, Horr, Clarke, Danner, Churchill.
Absent: Alderman Motsinger.
(Other Business)
The following resolution was introduced and read:
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE SALE OF $110,000 AD VALOREM TAX BONDS OF THE
CITY OF CANTON SPECIAL SERVICE AREA NUMBER SIX.
WHEREAS, the City of Canton has heretofore authorized the issuance
of $110,000 Ad Valorem Tax Bonds of the City of Canton Special Service
Area Number Six; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such authorization, a proposal was received for
the bonds on August 1, 1980, from Canton State Bank, Community Bank and
Trust Company and the National Bank of Canton; and
WHEREAS, it was determined that the aforesaid proposal for the bonds
was reasonable and satisfactory to the City Council, which proposal was for
par plus accrued interest at 8% per annum; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to confirm the award of the bonds to
the purchasers thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The sale of $110,000 Ad Valorem Tax Bonds of the City of Canton
Special Service Area Number Six to Canton State Bank, Community Bank and
Trust Company and the National Bank of Canton at a price of par plus accrued
interest is hereby ratified and confirmed.
2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
