RESOLUTION NO. 1004
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NUMBER 1001, BEING: A RESOLUTION
SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF A PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN AND PROJECT AND PROPOSED DESIGNATION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT AREA
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council on October 4, 1983, passed
Resolution Number 1001 which contained in the first paragraph
a description of the proposed Redevelopment Project Area; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council now deems it necessary and in
the best interest of the City of Canton to amend the description
of the proposed Redevelopment Project Area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That Resolution Number 1001, passed by the Canton City Council
on October 4, 1983, is hereby amended by Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B"
hereto attached and herein incorporated by reference, such exhibits
being, respectively, the amended legal description of the proposed
Redevelopment Project Area and a preliminary and unfinished plat
of the proposed Redevelopment Project Area.
2. That, in all other respects, Resolution Number 1001 is hereby
ratified, confirmed and approved by the Canton City Council.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, at a regular meeting this 18th day of October ,
1983, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen May, Carl, Workman, Sarff, Savill, Hammond,
Kovachevich.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman Horr.

Beginning at the intersection of the West ROW line of Van Buren Ct.
with the South ROW line of Pine St.; thence Southerly along the West
ROW line of VanB uren Ct. to the South ROW line of Walnut St.; thence
Easterly along the South ROk line of Walnut St. to the West ROW line

along a line between Lots 63 & 64, Lots 60 & 61, Lots 58 & 59, Lots 55 &
56, Northerly accross Pine St. & between Lots 51 & 52, Lots 48 & 49, Lots
45 & 46, Northerly accross Elm St. to the North ROW line of Elm St. all
--- said Lots being in the said Barne's & Jone's Addition; thence Westerly
along the North ROW line of Elm St. to the East ROW line of Third Ave.;
thence Northerly along the East ROW line of Third Ave. to a point 32.5
feet North of the NW corner of Lot 31; thence Westerly accross Third
Ave. & accross Lot 15 on a line parallel to & 32.5 feet North of the
South line of said Lot 15 to the West line of said Lot 15; thence
