ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA
Mayor McDowell said he would like to separate the item listed under the Lake, Building and
Grounds committee into two separate items since one of the Utility carts are for the WWTP and
the other is for the WTP. These will be presented as ordinances and should have the first reading
of the ordinance waived.

BEACH ADDITION SUBDIVISION.- RESOLUTION #5311
Mayor McDowell said that he would like to remove lot 11 from the proposed resolution. This
area could be used for an area to place garbage bins and a turn around area for trucks. Mayor
McDowell said he would like the notice to read lots 12-20 instead of lots 11-20 and omitting lots
9 and 11.
Attorney Jump said the new notice could be ready for the next council meeting.
The proposed resolution will repeal the prior resolution. The City Clerk is directed to publish on
the City website that no bids will be considered as it relates to that resolution. The City reserves
the right to publish a new notice to bid any and all lots of Old Beach Addition. A new resolution
would be brought to the May 4, 2021 council meeting with the updated legal description for the
lots being bid.

UTILITY CART FOR THE WWTP—ORDINANCE#4225
The utility cart at the WWTP will primarily be used for the work being performed on the City farm.
The funding for the purchase of the utility cart will come from a savings developed during FY21.
Some of the funds set aside are from credits from chemical reimbursements, the city auction
proceeds, a utility credit and insurance funds from damage at the eastside treatment plant. The
City had a total of$37,000.00 saved from the credits received in FY21. These items were not put
out for bid and quotes were obtained directly from Slaight's. The cost for the single bench seat
utility vehicle for the WWTP is approximately $11,000.00. The City is receiving a government
discount on both the WWTP and the WTP utility cart from Slaight's. DNR said that there is a
potential for additional savings for some models that are centered around park use. Utility
Director Joe Carruthers said he would like to look further into other options, but definitely would
not exceed the price from Slaight's.
Motion and second were made by Aldermen Fritz/Hale to waive the first reading of the
ordinance.
