ORDINANCE NO. 1026
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 2, SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF THE
CANTON MUNICIPAL CODE AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 966.
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee has determined that it
is necessary and in the best interest of the City of Canton to amend
Title 3, Chapter 2, Sections 1 and 2 of the Canton Municipal Code as
hereinafter set forth; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That Title 3, Chapter 2, Sections 1 and 2 of the Canton Municipal
Code are hereby amended to read as follows:
"3-2-1 (C) LICENSE FEE: At the time of filing the application for
the foregoing license, the applicant shall pay to the
City Clerk the sum of $1.00 per day (or, portion thereof), for each
day requested in the application up to a maximum of 30 consecutive
days and for a minimum period of time of 7 consecutive days.
Persons desiring to use vehicles shall be required to pay the
following fee in lieu of the foregoing daily fee:
(1) Non-Motorized Vehicle: $5.00 per vehicle per month.
(2) Motorized Vehicle: $20.00 per vehicle per month.
Such license fee shall be paid in full in cash to the City Clerk before
any requested license shall issue. No refunds of license fees (or,
any portion thereof), shall be made. Licenses hereunder are not
transferrable. No license for the sale of food items for human
consumption shall issue hereunder unless the applicant presents the
City Clerk with the original of the appropriate Fulton County Health
Department license or permit relating to the contemplated sales.
3-2-2 (C) LICENSE FEE: At the time of filing the application

maximum of 30 consecutive days. Such license fee shall be paid
in full in cash to the City Clerk before any requested license

shall be made. Licenses hereunder are not transferrable. No
license for the sale of food items for human consumption shall
issue hereunder unless the applicant presents the City Clerk with
the original of the appropriate Fulton County Health Department
license or permit relating to the contemplated sales."
2. That to the extent inconsistent herewith, Ordinance No. 966
is hereby amended.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten. (10)
days after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication
in pamphlet form as provided by law.
