ORDINANCE NO . 1 0 O 1
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF EAST BEECH STREET BETWEEN
SOUTH MAIN STREET AND EAST CANTON CITY LIMITS
WHEREAS, the Public Safety and Traffic Committee of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois has determined that it is necessary to prohibit parking
on both sides of East Beech Street in the City of Canton between' the East curb
line of South Main Street and the East City Limits of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois as follows: '~~
1. That no parking of any motor vehicle shall be permitted on both sides
of East Beech Street between the East curb line of South Main Street and the
East City Limits of Canton.
2. That the Street Superintendent shall post appropriate signs and
appropriate markings informing the public of this provision.
3. Any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be
subject to a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Five
Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each such violation.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication in pamplet form as
provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
at a regular meeting this 21 S t day of F e b r u a r y 1984 , upon a
roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Hammond, Savill, Workman, Carl, May, Horr.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Aldermen Kovachevich, Sarff.
