AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE NORTH SIDE OF WEST SPRUCE STREET AT THE
GENERAL ADDRESS OF 63 WEST SPRUCE STREET.
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois has determined that it is necessary to prohibit parking on the
North side of West Spruce Street in the City of Canton from the East curb line
of North Avenue A to a point 122 feet East of said East! curb line of North
Avenue A.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That no. parking of any motor vehicle shall be permitted on the North
side of West Spruce Street from the East curb line of North Avenue A to a point
122 feet East of said East .curb line of North Avenue A.
2. That the Street Superintendent shall post appropriate signs and
appropriate markings informing the public of this provision.
3. Any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be subject
to a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00) for each such violation.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days after

its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois,
approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication in pamplet form as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
at a regular meeting this 21S t day of May' 1985, upon a roll
call vote as follows:
