ORDINANCE NO. 1861
AnOrdinance re-zoning certain property of Thayne N. Ouellette, not individually but
as Trustee under Agreement Dated May 21, 2000, otherwise known as The Donald
J. Lowe Trust Number 001, to an AG-1 zoning configuration.
WHEREAS, the property described on Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof ("Lowe Trust Property"), is located within the corporate limits of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Lowe Trust Property is currently zoned I-2, industrial, under the Canton City
Code; and
WHEREAS, Thayne N. Ouellette, not individually but as Trustee under Agreement Dated
May 21, 2000, otherwise known as The Donald J. Lowe Trust Number 001, is the owner of the Lowe
Trust Property and has petitioned the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, that the property
be re-zoned to an AG-1 zoning configuration in order to accommodate asingle-family residential
dwelling; and
WHEREAS, the surrounding neighborhood consists primarily of agricultural uses, with
industrial uses only to the north of the property, and the re-zoning of the Lowe Trust Property to AG-
1 would be consistent with the current and future uses in the area; and
WHEREAS, on March 13, 2006, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton
met, pursuant to notice as required by law, and held a public hearing concerning the Petitioner's
request to re-zone the property to an AG-1 zoning configuration, and, at the meeting, no objectors
were present and no objections to the Petitioner's request were voiced, and, after said hearing, the

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION:
That the property described on Exhibit A and known as the Lowe Trust Property shall
be and the same hereby is re-zoned to an AG-1 zoning configuration.
2. That the corporate authorities of the City of Canton, Illinois, and their respective
officers and agents shall be and they are hereby authorized to amend the applicable maps of the City
of Canton, Illinois, to so reflect the re-zoning to an AG-1 zoning configuration.
3. That a copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the appropriate authorities of the
County of Fulton and State of Illinois, to reflect the re-zoning, all as made and provided for by law.
4. That the Mayor of the City of Canton, Illinois, shall be and he is hereby authorized
to affix his signature as the Mayor of said City to this Ordinance and the City Clerk of the City of
Canton, Illinois, shall be and she is hereby authorized to attest such signature thereto.
Passed by a vote of the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, this 4th day of April,
2006, by a vote of 8 ayes and 0 nays, with 0 Aldermen absent.
