RESOLUTION
Be It Resolved by City Council of Canton, Illinois:
That the City of Canton, Illinois, enter into the following
contract with GEORGE FILKER and that the Mayor be and is hereby directed
to execute the same on behalf of said City:

CONTRACT
This contract entered into this day of June A. D. 1942,
between CITY OF CANTON, a Municipal Corporation, party of first part, and
GEORGE FILKER, of Farmington, Illinois, party of second part.
The party of the second part agrees to move a frame barn now lo-
cated on property occupied by Roscoe 3. Bowton, approximately two miles north,
to property leased by Harry L. Sebree, the same being designated on land use
map (on file in Office of City Clerk), as Parcel No. 4, to provide at his own
expense all necessary equipment, labor and material in and about said work; to
move said building in a good and workmanlike manner; to be responsible for any
damage done said building during the progress of said work, fireptornado„ light-
ning and any Act of God excepted.
The party of second part further agrees to build a cement foundation
for said barn on the place Ahere it is to be moved, said foundation to be eight
(8) inches in width and of sufficient depth to reach solid ground; to build the
foundation on the east and south sides, and to place two (2) rows through the mido
die of said barn and to place four (4) three-quarter ( ) inch truss rods throne
the top plate of said barn.
The party of the oecond part rurther agreea to furnish all rightoof-
ways and moving permits.
The party of second part further agrees to complete said work on or
before August 1, 1942, barring delays that might occur through fire, rain, tornado,
or any act of Cod.
The party of the first part agrees to pay the party o the second part
the sum of eight hundred oeventy-five dollam; ( 875.O3) upon completion of said
work.
Executed in duplicate at Canton, Illinois this day of June
