BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby,
authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Austin
Engineering Company, Consulting {' gineers , to prepare preliminary
drawings and estimate of costs, together with plans and specifi-
cations, for the extension of water and sewer service in the city,
covering all extensions and improvements proposed by the Committee
on dater and Sewers, at a cost of not to exceed Twelve Hundred
Dollars 41200.00) for the share of the City of Canton; said cost
to be matched by a like sum to be provided by the Illinois Post
\Iar Planning Commission of the State of Illinois to cover the
total cost of such necessary surveys, plans and estimates as may
be necessary, based upon a total of four per cent (4%) of the
estimate of cost of construction of such extensions and improve-
ments ; said share of such costs which is to be borne by the
City of Canton to be Paid out of funds in the 4ater and Sewer
Fund not otherwise aApropriated.
