BE IT RESOLVED B! TBE CITY COUNCIL OP ?IR
CITY OF CANTON, ILLIlIS:
Section 1. That the City of Canton, Illinois,
a Municipal Corporation, enter into an Agreement with Joseph R.
airring Camp Number 10, Department of Illinois, Sons of Union
veterans of Civil War, a copy of which is attached to this Resolution
and made a part hereof tie same as if it were written herein.
Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk of
said City are hereby authorised and directed to execute said
Agreement on behalf of said City.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the
Mayer, this .day of A. D. 194$.

1. That the party of the first part covenants
and agrees to permit the party of the second part to use a certain
portion of the City Building known and-designated as the Grand SPRY
of the Republic hall for municipal purposes, namely, the party of
the second part shall be permitted to use the vest room of said hall
as a polio* roof, provided that .on adequate hallway into the sndf,hall
is maintained and the party of the soca* part shall be,permitted to
erect a room onto the northwest corner of said main hail provided that
said,room is no larger than ten (10) feet by fourteen 414) feet.
2. Theparty of the second part covenants and egress
to maintain and care far all of the said Grand Army of the Mopublie Hall
and to permit the use of said Hall., except that used for *udoipai
purposes as above set forth, as a netting place for the patriotic
orders of the City of Canton., Illinois, when the saes nay be meeting
for patriotic purposes.
3. The party of the eedWOO,oart further covenants
and agrees to adequately and safely house and proserva all records, tablets,
trophies, relics, pictures, flags and memorials that are now in said
Hell and any which may hereafter be donated by patriotic ettlases and if
such can be dons to have all such articles open 6 public view.
4. The party of the seo4d part further eovensnts
and agrees to at all times maintain the said Hall in honor of the
soldiers of the Grand Army of the Repubi io.
