RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, there is a substantial surplus in the Garbage
Department Fund and an insufficient sum in the Road and Bridge Fund
of the City of Canton, Illinois, to meet obligations created by the
City and to be necessarily met by the City, by and through the City
Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, and by the Street and Alley
Committee of Canton, Illinois, as heretofore authorized by the City
Council of Canton, Illinois, for the purpose of completion of oiling,
gravelling or improvement of streets or heretofore oiled, gravelled
or improved or to be hereafter oiled, gravelled or improved during
this fiscal year, and for working capital for repair force of the
Street Department for future work on said streets; and as originally
provided for in the Annual Appropriation Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council that
the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred (2,500.00) Dollars be trans-
ferred from the Garbage Department Fund to the Road and Bridge Fund
for the use of the Street and Alley Committee, using said money for
the express purpose of completion of oiling, gravelling or improve-
ment of streets or heretofore oiled, gravelled or improved or to be
hereafter oiled, gravelled or improved during this fiscal year, and
for working capital for repair force of the Street Department for
future work on said streets; and as originally provided for in the
Annual Appropriation Ordinance; said sum to be especially used for
pay and discharge of obligations by said City, by and through the
Street and Alley Committee and necessarily may be created hereafter
as heretofore authorized by said City Council and herewith confirmed.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved that the duly
appointed Treasurer of said Municipal Corporation be directed to
arrange for said transfer of said sum as above stated, to-wit;
the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred ($2,500.00) Dollars, from the
Garbage Department Fund to the Road and Bridge Fund of Canton,
Illinois and
Further declares that this Resolution be adopted as of
this date and entered by the City Clerk, Nun° pro tune as of
February 3rd, A. D. 1953.
Passed and approved by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, this 17th day of February, A. D. 1953.
