RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of December, A. D. 1935, a general mun-
ici )al election was held in the City of Canton, Illin?is, whereat a
Judge and Clerk of the City Court of said city was elected, each for
a aix-year term of office; And Whereas, the terms of said officers so
elected are about to expire:
THREFORE, BE IT R SOLVBD by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois:

That Tuesday, Iecember 16th, 1941, be and the same hereby is desig-
nated as the date for a general munici )al election in the said City of
Canton for the purpose of electing a Clerk and Jud -e of the City Court
of Canton for the term of office as now lrovided by law, and a general
municipal election therefor is hereby called for said aforementioned
date.
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, that a generalmunicipal primary- election for the purpose of
nominating a candidate or candidates for the said office of Judge of
said Court and Clerk of said Court is hereby called and the date of said
general municipal Primary Election is hereby designated as Tuesday, Oct-
ober 28, 1941, seven weeks prior to said general municipal election, as
provided by law.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Canton
is hereby authorized and directed to give such notice and to do and per-
form all other acts on her Part necessary to oerformmto provide for the
holding of said election in manner and form as prescribed by law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Canton, I1l.nois, this 16th
day of September, A. D. 1941. '
