ORDINANCE NO. 121
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE WEST SIDE OF NORTH
AVENUE. B_ BETWEEN WEST ELM.. STREET. AND.. WEST PINE... STREET IN
THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS,. the Streets and Garbage Committee of the Canton City. Council has
determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
eliminate parking,on the west side of North Avenue B between West Elm Street and West
Pine Street in the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON,_Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That parking., is hereby. eliminated and prohibited on the west side of North
Avenue B between West Elm Street and West Pine Street in the City of Canton, Illinois.
3. That all ordinances,. or portions of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby rescinded and repealed.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days after its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the
Mayor thereof, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
5. That tl~e Street .Superintendent shall cause appropriate signs to be posted.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this 2nd day of February1999, upon a roll call vote as follows.
