ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY MIDAMERICA
NATIONAL SANR, FROM AN R-4 ZONING CONFIGURATION TO A B-1
ZONING CONFIGURATION.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the
corporate limits of said City of canton; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that the territory
hereinafter described is owned by MIDAMERICA NATIONAL BANK; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that a Petition for
Rezoning has been filed by the petitioner, MIDAMERICA NATIONAL SANK,
requesting that the property hereinafter described be rezoned from an R-4
zoning configuration to a B-1 zoning configuration; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that a public hearing was
conducted by the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Canton,
Illinois, in accordance with the laws of this State and the ordinances of
the City of Canton, Fulton county, Illinois, on May 11, 1998, and said
Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously recommended that the property
hereinafter described be rezoned from an R-4 zoning configuration to a
B-1 zoning configuration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, as follows:
section 1. That the territory described as follows:
A part of Lot 14 of JONES THIRD ADDITION to the
City of Canton, beginning at the Southeast
corner of said Lot 14, thence West 100 feet;
thence North 98 feet; thence East 50 feet;
thence North 30 feet; thence west 50 feet;
thence North 200 feet, more or leas, to the
ii~ North line of said Lot 14, thence East 90.75
feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 14;
thence South 330 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING,
situated in the City of canton, County of Fulton
and State of Illinois;
being owned by MIDAMERICA NATIONAL BANK, be and the same is hereby
rezoned from an R-4 zoning configuration to a B-1 zoning configuration,
in accordance with the applicable rules, laws and regulations of the
Illinois Municipal Code.
section 2. That the City Zoning Administrator is hereby instructed
and ordered to make the necessary adjustments to the zoning map of the
City of canton, Illinois, to reflect the rezoning hereunder.
Section 3. That this ordinance was passed and became in full force
and effect immediately upon its passage by a majority vote of the
aldermen holding office in the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois,
this ~'!1~` day of dLIl1e 1998, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldercren Hartford, Molleck, Phillips, Sarff, Meade, Nidiffer,
May, Shores.
NAYS: None.
