July 25, 2016
The Meeting of July 25, 2016 was called to order by Ed Patton at 5:30 p.m.
Roll call was taken: 13 members with 8 members attending - Quorum
present.
Members Present - Kathy Lock, Alan Dilts, Ed Patton, Maria Orwig, Gerald Ellis,
Phil Fleming, Roy Hopper, and Craig West.
Members not present-, Justin Nelson, Dave Pickel, Eric Arnold, Kent Janssen &
Kay Long.
Others Present- Petitioner's Terry and Debra Watson and Planning & Zoning
Director, John Kunski.
Chairman Ed Patton called the meeting to order. Ed asked for A Motion to
approve the minutes from the meeting of June 27, 2016. Motion made by Alan
Dilts and seconded by Kathy Lock. Motion carried with a unanimous voice vote.
Ed read the petition, Case 16-009, a public hearing for property located at 1408
Wheeler Lane. PetitioneHsj, Terry Watson & Debra Watson are requesting a
variance of 3 feet to put up a detached garage, 26 X 28. The property is
currently zoned R-2.
Terry spoke on his behalf explaining that he needed more room and he is tearing
down a shed and replacing with the garage.
John Kunski stated that staff did not have any issues with the request. He did
mention to Terry that concrete must be put down on the driveway between the
garages. All new drives must be a hard dustless surface according to code.
Phil Fleming made A Motion to accept the Finding of Facts as yes to all and
grant the 3 foot variance. Maria Orwig seconded the Motion and Motion carried
with unanimous voice vote.
Motion to adjourn was made by Roy Hopper with a second from Kathy Lock.
Motion carried with a unanimous voice vote.
The meeting adjourned at 5:38pm
