CONFIGURATION TO AN AGA ZONING CONFIGURATION

ORDINANCE NO 4007
AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 500
ENTERPRISE DRIVE, OWNED BY DAVID AND REBECCA SMITH,
FROM AN I-2 ZONING CONFIGURATION TO AN AG-1 ZONING
CONFIGURATION.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, that the territory
hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of said City of Canton; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that the territory hereinafter described is
owned by DAVID & REBECCA SMITH; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that a Petition for rezoning has been filed
by the Petitioners, current owner(s), DAVID & REBECCA SMITH, requesting that the property
hereinafter described be rezoned from an I-2 zoning configuration to an AG-1 zoning configuration;
and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that a public hearing was conducted by the
Joint Planning&Zoning Commission of the City of Canton,Illinois,in accordance with the laws of
this State and the ordinances of the City of Canton,Fulton County,Illinois,on September 28,2015,
and said Joint Planning&Zoning Commission recommended that the property hereinafter described
be rezoned from an 1-2 zoning configuration to a AG-1 zoning configuration;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Canton,Illinois,
as follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton,Fulton County,Illinois,hereby finds the
foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That the property be rezoned from I-2 to AG-1 and being legally described as
follows:
8.95 AC SEC 32 TWP 7 RNG 4 PT N 1/2
Common Address: 500 Enterprise Drive, Canton IL 61520;
being owned by DAVID&REBECCA SMITH,be and the same is hereby rezoned from an I-2
zoning configuration to an AG-1 zoning configuration,in accordance with the applicable rules,
laws and regulations of the Illinois Municipal Code.
3. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriated documents, maps and
related regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the foregoing
rezoning.
4. That this Ordinance was passed and became in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by a majority vote of the aldermen holding office in
the City of Canton,Fulton County,Illinois at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Canton,Illinois,this 6th day of October 2015,upon a roll call vote as
follows:
AYES: Aldermen Craig West, Tad Putrich, Jim Nelson, Ryan
Mayhew, Justin Nelson, Gerald Ellis, John Lovell, Angela
Hale

the CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
I further certify that on October 6. 2015 , the City Council of such
municipality passed and approved Ordinance No. 4008 , entitled:
AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 500 ENTERPRISE DRIVE,
OWNED BY DAVID AND REBECCA SMITH FROM AN 1-2 ZONING
CONFIGURATION TO AN AGA ZONING CONFIGURATION
which proved by its terms that it should be published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet for Ordinance No. 4007, including the Ordinance and a cover
sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted at City Hall,
2 North Main Street Canton IL, commencing on October 6, 2015 , and continuing for
at least ten days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available for public
inspection upon request in the Office of the City Clerk.
