Motion and second were made by Commissioner Freeman/Mayor Fritz to approve minutes of May 18, 2015 and May 22, 2015 Liquor Control Commission meetings. Motion carried. DISCUSS. CONSIDER AND VOTE ON AN APPLICATION FOR A CLASS F SPECIAL EVENT LICENSE FOR CANTON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Taste of Canton, a new event this year, to be held Saturday September 26, 2015 from 1-6 pm at Big Creek Park. Presentation to the Park District Board has agreed to allow alcohol on site for the event. Beer and wine will be served by Bistro 101 and Billy's Tap in the designated area on the tennis courts. Identification is to be checked at the entrance with bracelets, security on site includes the 6 ft. chain link fence surrounding the beer and wine area. There will be live entertainment, several food vendors, an individual wing cook-off, and inflatables for the kids and zoo animals and other kid's activities. The chamber has applied for liability insurance certificate with the City of Canton and Park District being named as additional insured. When the certificates are received Amanda will bring a copy to the City for record. Motion and second were made by Mayor Fritz/Commissioner Freeman to approve the special event permit application for the event contingent to getting the liability insurance certificate from Billy's Tap and the Bistro. Discussion: Attorney Rabel stated there is normally a $100.00 special event license fee; the City will waive this fee considering the Bistro 101 and Billy's Tap are established businesses in Canton and have a valid liquor license. The only charge will be the $10.00 fee required per day for special events. Motion carried. DISCUSS, CONSIDER AND VOTE ON AN APPLICATION FOR A CLASS A LIQUOR LICENSE FOR BREW-N-CUE, INC. Marilyn Anderson has submitted a letter stating she is selling the business to her son, Mark Anderson. The business is going from a sole proprietor to a corporation. Marilyn's license will be relinquished once Mark's license is issued. A background check on Mark has been returned as good with no records or liens. Between July 8 — 15, 2015 the business will officially change hands. Mark is to provide the state license to the City once he receives them from the State. Motion and second were made by Mayor Fritz/Commissioner Freeman to approve application for a Class A liquor License for Brew-n-Cue. Motion carried. DISCUSS CONSIDER AND VOTE ON AN APPLICATION FOR CHANGE OF MANAGERS FOR HYVEE HyVee Corporation will remain the same for the liquor license; the only change is a new manager. This does still require a background check on the individual. The new manager is Heather Garitty. Background check returned good with no liens. Motion and second were made by Mayor Fritz/Commissioner Freeman to approve the application for a change of managers for HyVee. Motion carried. Mayor striking item 7 from the agenda: Discuss, Consider and vote on an application for change of managers for CSK Ventures, Inc (Item 3 on the agenda was skipped and will be discussed and voted on now) APPROVAL OF AGREED ORDER REGARDING CSK VENTURES, INC. Attorney Rabel has the copy of the Agreed Order that was discussed at the original hearing that was continued for June 10, 2015. In the meantime, the Attorney for the case contacted Attorney Rabel stating the client agreed to plead guilty to 2 of the counts. The City entered into that agreement with the Commissioners approval as well as the Attorney's. No hearing was held. This is a formality to approve the agreed order. Motion and second were made by Mayor Fritz/Commissioner Freeman to approve the agreed order regarding CSK Ventures, Inc d/b/a Southern Bar and Grille. Discussion: They are currently/temporarily closed until they find a manager. This is a voluntary closing and not an ordered closing by the City of Canton or the Courts. Motion carried.
