Canton City Council held a regular meeting on Feb. 4s 1969 in the City
Council Chamber. Mayor Woods called the meeting to order at 5:30 P. M.
Present for roll call: Aldermen Rusnak, Howard, Farr, Svob, Jacobs,
Sepich, Skinner, Long, Ellis, Kroell, Spencer, Yerbic, Danner, and George.
Absents None.
Pledge of Allegiance was followed by Invocation by Alderman Danner.
Motion by Alderman Kroell, seconded by Alderman Ellis that the minutes of
_ the previous meeting be accepted and placed on file. Carried by voice vote.
Bills for January. Alderman Long moves, Alderman Skinner seconds motion that
all bills properly approved by the various comnittees be allowed for payment.
Roll call vote. AYE: Aldermen George, Darner, Yerbic, Spencer, Kroell, Ellis,
Long, Skinner, Sepich, Jacobs, Svob, Farr, Howard, and Rusnak. NAYS None.
Officers reports read. Motion by Alderman Long, seconded by Alderman Ellis
to„ accept same and place on file. Carried by voice vote.

Thank you note for flowers from Alderman and Mrs. Stanley Kroell.. Same to
be placed on file.
Old business.
Motion by Alderman Howard that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to enter
into the agreement with the Canton Park District to purchase approximately
1.41 acres for $1.00 for land to be used as.a roadway on the east side of the
Canton Athletic Park (an extension of North.Fourth Ave.), sharing expense of
fence and gate and the City to construct and maintain the roadway. Alderman
Rusnak and Farr seconds this motion. Roll call vote. AXE: Aldermen Rusnak,
Howard, Farr, Svob, Jacobs, Sepich, Skinner, Long, Ellis, Kroell, Spencer,
Yerbic, Danner, and George. NAY: None. (Agreement No. 152).
Alderman George ;.nquired about increase in salaries of Mayor and Aldermen and
said if an increase was to be made, it should be done before the Primary
election. Mayor Woods said an increase in employees' salaries as well as
elected officials was being considered. Motion by Alderman Kroell that the
matter be referred to the Finance Committee for study was seconded by Alder-
man Jacobs. Carried, voice vote.
Alderman Howard excused from the Council Chamber at 5:47 P. M.
Estimate No. 5 for Normoyle-Berg & Associates for storm sewers in the amount
of M2239.32. Motion by Alderman Long, seconded by Alderman Sepich to allow
payment on this-estimate. Roll call vote. .AYE: Aldermen George, Danner,
Yerbic, Spencer, Kroell, Ellis, Long, Skinner, Sepich, Jacobs, Snob, Farr,
and Rusnak. NAYS None.
Application for waterway permit for West Walnut Street Improvement (Section
61CS) presented. Motion by Alderman Jacobs, seconded by Alderman Sepich that
the Mayor and City Clerk enter into this Agreement. Roll call vote. AYE:

Long, Ellis, Kroell, Spencer, Yerbic, Danner, and George. NAYs None. (No. 153)
Resolution for street Lights, Fifteenth and Myrtle St., Willemco Court, North
Main Street, Fifteenth and Ash Street (2). Motion by Alderman Svob, seconded
by Alderman Sepich to adopt the Resolution.- Roll call vote. AYES Aldermen
George, Danner, Yerbic, Spencer, Kroell, Ellis, Long, Skinner, Sepich, Jacobs,
Svob, Farr, and Rusnak. NAYs None. Resolution No. 498.
Motion by Aldsman Ellis, seconded by Alderman Spencer to adjourn. Voice vote
carried. Canton City Council adjourns at 5:52 P. M.
