April 6, 1954
A regular meeting of the City Co-incil held this day convening at the hour of 7:30P.M
with Mayor Woods Presiding. Roll call showed the following present: Alderman Sebree,
Duncan, Moore, Lundry, Miller, Smith, Linder, Skinner, Tink, Cook, Staley, Klobuchar,
and Puskarich. Abs-nt : Alderman Coleman.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and stood approved as read.

The following monthly reports were submitted: Fire Dept. treasurer;Police Dept.
City Engr; Supt of Streets; Plumbing Inspector; Sewage Plant; Water Treatment plant;
V�ater & Sewer dept. On motion of Alderman Skinner, seconded by Alderman Tink, the
reports are accepted and ordered filed.
It was moved by Alderman Smith, seconded by Alderman Staley, to reject bids
received at the previous meeting for Seal coat and gravel, and to re-advertise
for bids on white rock and seat coat, bids to be received and opened at 7:30P.M.
April 20th. Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree, Duncan, Lundry, Smith, Linder,
Tink, Cook, Staley, Klobuchar and Puskarich. NAY: Alderman Miller and Skinner.
On motion of Alderman Linder, seconded by Alderman Cook, consessions at
Lake Canton were granted to Earl White, for the year, upon payment of $100.00,
with Mr. White deputised to run it properly, and the motion carried by unanimous
roll call vote.
Alderman Skinner moves, seconded by Alderman 'fink, to designate Clean-Up
Week from April 19 thru the 30th, and the motion carried by a viva voce vote.
On motion of Alderman Lundry, seconded by Alderman Puskarich, the Junior
Sportsman League were granted priviledge of having Tag-day on Saturday, May 22.
Resolution &ransferring from the Parking Meter Fund to the General Fund,
the sum of $9000.00, was on motion of Alderman Skinner, seconded by Alderman Duncan,
adopted by the following vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree, Duncan, Lundry, Miller.,
Smith, Linder, Skinner, Tink, Cook, Staley, Klobuchar and Puskarich. NAY: none.
Resolution transferring from the Parking 'deter Fund to the Fire r'rotection
Fund the sum of $5000.00, was on motion of Alderman Linder, seconded by Alderman
Skinner, adopted by the following vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree, Duncan, Lundry,
Miller, Smith, Linder, Skinner, Tink, Cook, Staley, Klobuchar and Puskarich-
NAY: None.
Ordinance entitled "Unlawful to park any vehicle on S. Side of W. Maple
St. from Martin Ave. .west 500 ft." was read for the first time. It was moved
by Alderman Duncan, seconded by Alderman Linder to suspend the rules. Roll
call vote AYE;: AldermanSebree, Duncan, Sundry, Miller, Smith, Linder, Skinner,
Tink, Cook, Staley, Klobuchar and Pus k,�rich. NAY: None; It was then moved by
Alderman Linder, seconded by Alderman hiller, to place the Ordinance on its
r)assage. Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree, Duncan, Lundry, Miller, Smith,
Linder, Skinner, Tibk, Cook, Staley, Klobuchar and 11askarich. NAY: None. The
chair declared the motion carried and Ordinance passed, being Ordinance No. 199.
Ordinance entitled "Stop-sign erected at SW.ccrner of West Maple Street
and Martin Avenue" was read for the first time. It was moved by Alderman
Duncan, seconded by Alderman Miller, to suspend the rules. Roll call vote:
AYE: Alderman Sebree, Duncan, Lundry, Ailler, Smith, Linder, Skinner, Tink,
Cook, Staley, Klobuchar and Puskarich. NAY: None. It was then moved by Alder-
man Linder, seconded by Alderman Duncan, to place the Ordinance on its passage.
Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree, Duncan, Lundry, liiller, Smith, Linder,
Skinner, Tink, Cook, Staley, Klobuchar and Puskarich. NAY: None. The chair
declared the motion carried and Ordinance passed, being Ordinance No. 200.
Ordinane entitled "Parking Meters erected 5ft. from inters ction" was read
the first time. It was moved by Alderman Duncan, seconded by Alderman Cook to
suspend the rules. Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree, Duncan, Lundry, Miller,
Smith, Linder, Skinner, Tink, Cook, Staley, Klobuchar and Puskarich. NAY: None.
It was then moved by Alderman Puskarich, seconded by Alderman Linder, to place
the ordinance on its passage. ROLL CALL VJTE; AYE: Alderman Sebree, Duncan,
Lundry, Miller, Smith, Linder, Skinner, T ink, Cook, Staley, Klobuchar and Puska-
rich. NAY: None. The chair declared the motion carried and Ordinance passed,
being Ordinance No. 201.
The f ollpwing Ordinance were read for the first time "For the Local Improve-
ment of West Pine Street,53-B; Fulton Place, 53-C; 7th Avenue, 53-D; Royal Court,
53-E; Sycamore Terrace, 53-V'; Middle I'ark Drive, 53-G; SunView Terrace, 53-H."
On motion of Alderman Sebree, seconded by Alderman Staley, permission was
granted to Guy Williams to operate p:?p-corn stand on a corner of the Square,
by a viva voce vote.
On motion of Alderman Skinner, seconded by Alderman Cook, the Junior Chamber
of Commerce were granted use of the Square for their Annual Home-Show, on September
15, 16, 17, 18, by unanimous roll call vote.
On motion of Alderman Linder, seconded by Alderman ruskarich, the meetin
adjourned. '
