A regular meeting of the City Council held this day convening at the hour of
7:30 F. M. with Mayor Woods presiding. Roll call showed the following Present:
Alderman Blackaby, Moore, Jones, Skinner, Linder, nand, Ti.nk, gook, and "lobuchar.
Absent: Alderman Sebree, Terpening and St. Flair. Akx
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and st )od approved as read.
Alderman Sebree comes in.
Police Patrolman liatt Bohler, submitted his regignation, and requested two
weeks vacation nay. It was moved by Alderman Jones, seconded by Alderman Klobuchar,
to accept the regignation and grant the request for 2-weeks vacation pay, and
the motion carried by unanimous roll call vote.
Alderman "lobuchar moves, seconded by Alderman Cook, bids for 200 Water meters,
advertised for opening on this date, be opened by the Clerk.
The bids submitted were then opened and read as follows:
Badger Meter Co.--200- 5/81' meters, less connections- - - _ _ _ _ -20.60 each
with connections- - - - - - - -21.63 each
Hersey Mfg. Co.---200- 5/811 meters, less connections- - - - - - - -20.80 each
with connections- - - - - _ - -22.36 each
Ne^tune Pieter Co.-200- 5/8" meters, with couplings- - - - - - - - -22.05 each
Rockwell Mfg. Co.-2')0- 5/8" meters, without connections - - - - - -20.50 each

Alderman Blackaby moveF�, seconded by Alderman Hand, the "ay or and City Clerk
enter into agreement with the Rockwell Mfg. Co., for 100 meters, and the Well
Machinery Co. for 100 meters, being the lowest bidders. Roll call: AYE: Alderman
Sebree, Hlackaby, Moore, Oones, Hand, Tink, and Klobuchar. No: Alderman Skinner,
Linder and Cook. The chair declared the motion carried.
It was moved by Alderman Skinner, seconded by Alderman Sebree, the clerk
mark the absent Alderman, present, and the motion carried by unanimous roll call
vote.
The Mayor names to the canvassing Board, to canvas the election results of
April 21, 1953 General Election, Alderman Linder, Hand and Moore.
Alderman Jones is excused. The council recessed during- the vancass of election
a nd on re-convening the following canvass report was read:
The following statement of the Canvassing Board of the returns of the April
21st, election were read:

CANVASSING BOARD
It was moved by Alderman Linder, seconded by Alderman Skinner, to accept the
report of the Canvassing Board, and the same to be spread on the records of th6is
meeting. Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree, 'dlackaby, Moore, Skinner, Linder,
Hand, Tink, Cook, Klobuchar. NAY: None. The chair declared the motion carried and
report of canvassing board accepted.
It was moved by Alderman. Cook, seconded by Alderman Sebree, to amend the ordinance
setting the compensation of the Election Judges and Clerks in City Llections, at
$10.00, instead of the present rate of $6.00. boll call vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree,
Blackaby, Moore, Skinner, Linder, liand, Tink, Cook and Ilobuchar. NAY: None.
On motion of Alderman Moore, seconded by Alderman Blackaby, the meeting adjourned.
