W-EREAS, the City of Canton has become the owner of record of
certain parcels of real property hereinafter described; and,
W-EREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois has determined that the real property hereinafter
described is no longer necessary, appropriate, required for the use
of, profitable to, or for the best interest of the City of Canton.

of CAIYT'ON, Fulton County, I l l inois as follows:
1. That real property presently owned by the City of Canton,
being located and legally described as follows, to-wit:
Lots number Thirty-one (31) and Thirty-two (32) in
Marshall and Fisher's First Addition to the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
Common Address: 534 East Oak Street
Canton, Illinois 61520
Minimum Bid Required: $35,000.00
be let out for bids for the sale of such property under the
direction of the Canton City Council, City of Canton, by and with
the advice of the City Attorney, and in the conformity with the laws
of the State of Illinois and the ordinances of the City of Canton
thereto appertaining.
2. That public notice of the foregoing proposed sale shall be
as by law made and provided.
3. That the use of the foregoing parcel of real estate has
been municipal in nature and that the future use of each of the
aforesaid parcels is as determined by reference to the City of
Canton's zoning ordinance and map, as the same may be from tirne to
time amended. The property is located in an R-2 residential
district.
4. Conveyance of title to any successful bidder shall only be
by corporate quit-claim deed.
5. The City of Canton shalt show merchantable title to any
successful bidder by either, in the City of Canton's sole
discretion, abstract of title or a commitment to insure title in the
amount of the purchase price.
6. The City of Canton reserves the right by majority vote to
reject any and ail bids and with respect to the foregoing parcel of
real property; or, to accept the high bid or any other bid
determined to be in the best interest of the City of Canton by a
vote of 3/4 of the corporate authorities then holding office.
7. Bids shall be submitted to the City Clerk, City Building,
210 East Chestnut Street, Canton, Illinois 61520, on or before
September 21, 1993, at 5:00 o'clock P.M., local time. Late bids
will not be considered. All bids submitted shall be opened before
the Canton City Council at its regular meeting of September 21,
1993.
8. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 7th day of September,
1993, upon a roll call vote as follows:
